Advocacy & Support
The Society's mission to recruit and mobilize advocates for outstanding cardiovascular patient care traces back to 1980 — that's the year our founder, Dr. Raymond Bahr, launched Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC). Through his EHAC awareness campaign, Dr. Bahr invites individuals (even those as young as school age) to recognize the early symptoms of a heart attack. With more individuals learning about the "beginnings" of heart attacks, there's more time for preventive measures to take place for more victims of heart disease.
Along with this mission to recruit and mobilize EHAC advocates, the Society provides many types of materials and programs to reduce the effects of cardiovascular disease. "Taking Science to the Bedside"™ is an essential component of each of our Accreditation Programs. We invite you to learn more about how the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care works hand-in-hand with EHAC advocates to equip them with the support and resources they need to affect change wherever they might be located.
From employing the Society's Accreditation Services to gaining insights from cardiovascular journals and books, to taking advantage of all of the educational tools and aides found on this web site, we hope you, too, will help in the fight to eliminate heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide.
