Certifications Available Through ACC Accreditation Services

ACC offers two certification programs for healthcare professionals who wish to acquire additional skills relevant to the roles of a Cardiovascular Care Coordinator or an Observation Specialist.

Cardiovascular Care Coordinator Certification (C4) is a program for coordinators of Chest Pain, Heart Failure, AFib, and Stroke. It is for cardiac healthcare professionals to enhance the skills necessary to be a successful Cardiovascular Care Coordinator. This three-year certification may be earned through an examination that follows a C4 workshop hosted by ACC Accreditation Services.

The Certified Observation Specialist program cultivates the leadership skills of individuals working within the hospital setting who care, promote, manage, or provide oversight for the observation patient - either in a virtual or dedicated observation unit. This three-year certification may be earned through an examination that follows an Observation Services workshop hosted by ACC Accreditation Services.

Both programs allow individuals who have earned a certification to acquire an established number of CME/CNE credits.
